BBC JAM!	New interactive learning resource from the BBC. Children need to create usernames and passwords. Activities can be stored online and accessed from any computer linked to the internet. Initial subjects available are: Maths & English for 5-7 yr olds; Science for 7-9 yr olds; Geography for 7-11 yr olds; French for 11-14 yr olds. More will follow as this exciting new service grows.

Cbeebies website	Go to Fun and Games page for a range of activities that help develop children's mouse skills and understanding of web page navigation. The 'Come Outside' game is particularly appropriate for children in the Nursery and Reception. This site is well worth exploring!

Free Logo download	This page has a free version of Logo available to download. It also has guidance on how Logo can be used. Logo is a piece of software that has huge learning potential. At a basic level, it can be used to give a 'robot' instructions so that it can move around the screen and draw shapes. However, it also provides children with a grounding in computer programming, enabling them to explore the logical thinking required. The linked site has a range of resources including instructions on using the free version.

Google Earth	Download this excellent resource (free version available) for developing geographical understanding.

Google Sketch Up	This is powerful, yet easy to use computer aided design software. Children may construct 3D models and then 'walk' around their work, viewing it from different angles. The free version is perfectly adequate for some impressive-looking work.
